“Women in Space: Visionaries Redefining Boundaries” will be presented on Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Japan House Los Angeles, 6801 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood.
Japan House will celebrate International Women’s Day with an illuminating dialogue between two pioneering women, Naoko Yamazaki and Akiko Tito, who will share their unique journeys in space exploration and shed light on the crucial role women play in advancing our understanding of the cosmos.
Yamazaki is Japan’s second female astronaut, dedicated to space education and advocacy for women in STEM. Tito is a space traveler and pilot who’s set to become one of the first crew members on SpaceX’s Starship mission around the Moon. These two trailblazers will share their personal accounts of the challenges they’ve overcome and their vision for making space more accessible and inclusive.
