Higashi Honganji, 505 E. Third St. (at Central Avenue) in Little Tokyo, will hold its 2026 Obon Festival on Saturday and Sunday, July 25-26, from 1 to 9 p.m.
In addition to Bon Odori, the festival will feature food, games, a raffle, bingo, cultural performances, and a farmer’s market offering fresh vegetables, fruits, plants and flowers.

Parking will be available at the Medical Building across from the temple at 420 E. Third St. (entrance on Boyd Street) for a discounted maximum daily fee of $5. To receive your discount voucher and a complimentary Obon raffle ticket valued at $5, bring your stub to the raffle booth. Parking validations are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may run out. The garage opens at 10 a.m. and closes promptly at 10 p.m.
